The Holy Metropolis of Kastoria of the Orthodox Church of Greece continued its charitable work this Pascha, feeding hundreds of needy people.
In collaboration with three catering establishments, the diocese offered 1,000 portions of food to the needy and lonely on the Bright Feast of the Resurrection, the diocese reports.
“The Holy Metropolis of Kastoria, as every year, strives to ensure that all our brethren partake, according to Saint John Chrysostom in his Catechetical Homily, not only of the spiritual but also of the material banquet.”
Last September, OrthoChristian reported that the Metropolis of Kastoria sent 34 pallets of food and other necessary supplies for victims of flooding.
