The governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has appointed 38 Special Advisers into the Cross River State Executive Cabinet.
The appointment which is coming in about 9 months after he took over governance has been long expected by the political class.
Calabar Parrot observes that out of the 38 appointments made by the governor on 5th of March 2024, 3 days to International Women’s Day, only 7 were women while the remaining 31 were men.
Recall that the governor had promised to include women in governance while promising to allocate over 35 percent of appointments to women.
This year’s theme for the IWD is “Inspired Inclusion”
