The state government noted that the dilapidated quarters would be transformed into a modern and conducive residence befitting the rejuvenation of the civil and public service in the state.
The Oyo State Governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, has approved N214.15million for the reconstruction of the official residence of the state Head of Service.
The project, is expected to be completed within six months.
The development was revealed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
It was noted that the development followed the 14th State Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday.
According to Oyelade, the project underscores the administration’s commitment to the civil service and its leadership.

“The neglected official quarters of the Head of Service will signpost the respect this administration has, not only for the civil service but for its leadership,” he noted.
It was also noted that the council approved enhancements to the Iwo Road Roundabout and expanded the scope of ongoing reconstruction at the Adegbayi Junction-Bus Terminal-Iwo Road Interchange along the Ibadan-Ife Expressway.
Oyelade noted that the expansion aims to address persistent traffic congestion during peak hours and mitigate flooding at the roundabout during rainfall.
