In furtherance of his commitment to boost rice production in Cross River State, Governor Ben Ayade, has declared open the 2019 dry season farming for rice. Governor Ayade,who was represented by his deputy, Prof Ivara Esu, commended the managers of the CBN/RIFAN model of Anchor Borrowers program Cross River state and enjoin farmers to take advantage of the program to better their life.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof Anthony Eneji called on women and youths to key into the program. In the same vein, Mr. Emma Anoh, governorAyade's Special Adviser on NGOs and coordinator rice development project, informed that the program was a huge success in the state for 2018 farming season. He thanked the Governor, Prof. Ben Àyade for the support given to rice farmers in state
Also speaking, Dr. Musa Oladipo charged farmers to take the program seriously as CBN is partnering with RIFAN to give them the necessary support.
