Gov Ayade recalls Carnival Commission Chairman from suspension

Mr Gabe Onah, Chairman of Cross River State Carnival Commission has been recalled from suspension barely one month after being suspended.

Onah was recalled by Governor Ben Ayade on Thursday, May 6, 2021, after being suspended on April 5, 2021.

Although the reason for his suspension is still not known but a statement signed by Mr Christian Ita, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity with reference number: Ref: GO/PRESS/012/VOL.I/266 on Thursday stated that Onah should resume work immediately.

“The State Governor, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade has approved the recall of Mr Gabe Onah, the chairman of the Cross River State Carnival Commission, from suspension.

“Consequent upon this, Mr Onah is to resume his duties with immediate effect”, the statement read.

Recall that in recent months, Governor Ayade has been on suspension galore, suspending his aides at will.
