In a press release made by the Office of the State Security Adviser (SSA) to the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade yesterday 19 July, the government of Cross River State, as part of the measures to resolve communal wars in Abi, Yakurr, Ogoja, Obudu, etc local governments of the state, is granting to those involved in various communal clashes in sundry parts of the state a seven day amnesty programme.
The amnesty programme which begins from 19 through 26 July is demanding that those practically involved in hatching and executing violence and related actions should turn in the weapons and related devices failure to which will invoke the full wrath of the law.
