Guess who’s engaged? That’s right, it’s none other than Chuck Bass… I mean, Ed Westwick. He’s popped the question to his girlfriend, Amy Jackson, after over two years of dating.
No, he didn’t propose in the Upper East Side, as you might expect. He actually got down on one knee during a ski trip to Switzerland. Not quite what you’d expect, huh?
Amy’s response to the proposal? “Hell YES,” she posted on Instagram on January 29. She shared snapshots of the moment, which looked incredibly sweet. Ed, on the other hand, noted on his Instagram Stories that he “hit the jackpot.”
So, how did these lovebirds meet? Well, let’s let Ed, who’s now 36, tell the story.
“We were invited separately to a race day with Aston Martin at Silverstone racetrack in 2021,” he shared with HELLO! in October. He was there with a friend who knew Amy. He saw her and thought, “I’m going to make my move!”
They chatted for a bit and then he asked her out for coffee. They had a great day, and she even beat him in the race. Her lap time was better than his!
From that day on, she’s been making his heart race. Quite the love story, don’t you think?
