Two fires in Plumas County that were combined into the Gold Complex are at or near full containment, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
The Smith Fire is at 45 acres with 100 percent contained and the Mill Fire is at 2,962 acres and 98 percent contained.
The Gold Complex, made up of both fires, was caused by lightning and detected on July 22.
It is currently burning on the Plumas National Forest in the Beckwourth Ranger District and Tahoe National Forest Sierraville Ranger District. The only mandatory evacuation order left is PLU-113
With cool temperatures coming to an end and warmer days ahead, the update said air quality may be impacted from lingering smoke over the fire areas.
