Giannis' Bucks can't withstand a well-organized Cavaliers team

This doesn’t happen that often, the Cleveland Cavaliers just defeated one of the strongest teams in the NBA but looking at the numbers they are quite balanced. However, not having Ricky Rubio after sufferinghis ACL injury should’ve been a major reason for the Bucks to have the upper hand. On paper, Milwaukee was the favorite despite playing away but the Cavs came out to play at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Also, the support from the fans is always paramount for this Cavs team. They learned how to apply pressure to any team that comes visit from the LeBron James days. Earning that level of confidence is not normal from the crowd of any team, but the Cavs are lucky in that aspect.

Having a visit from the most recent NBA Finals’ MVP is a major source of inspiration for all the fans, who did everything in their power to heckle Giannis throughout the entire game. The tactics worked as he was “only” able to score 26 points this evening. Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis both scored 20+ points but that wasn’t enough to stop the locals. Not everyday does an NBA team beat one of the top title contenders with their best player on the court. Giannis left the court in visible anger after the final whistle because he knew his team was dominated, especialy during the second and third quarters.

What’s next for Bucks and Cavaliers?

After tonight’s victory, the Cleveland Cavaliers moved to a 30-19 record and will take a breather for the rest of the week until the visit the Detriot Pistons next Sunday. Milwaukee Bucks moved down to a 30-20 record after tonight’s defeat and they won’t play again until Friday when the New York Knicks pay them a visit. Hopefully, this resting time can give Giannis the motivation to improve on many aspets that can help his team win against the Knicks on Friday. A special mention to Rajon Rondo, who played decent basketball for the Cavs tonight with a few great dimes to his teammates.
