International tournaments like the Euros and Copa America ongoing at the moment always help to boost players careers, with the cups immortalising call ups all over.
The European Championships in Germany are just coming to the end of the group stages, with Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, Portugal, France, Austria, Italy and England all through to the knock out rounds.
Switzerland have slowed down in the last two games, drawing 1-1 against Scotland and Germany after a strong 3-1 victory over Hungary which created some excitement over the team’s prospect in the cup run.
Despite the two draws, the Swiss ultimately have done enough to get through to the last 16 where they’re set to play Italy, a result which has now had United looking at a new option to strengthen their midfield.
Switzerland’s started on the front foot against Germany, with Dan Ndoye grabbing a goal from an unmarked position, slotting the ball into the top left hand corner past the very capable Manuel Neuer. The man of the hour grabbing his first international goal for Switzerland is now at the focus of United interest.
Repored by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bologna winger is being considered by the Red Devils, with United contacting the Italian club to ask for information on the 23-year-old.
Ndoye has had an incredible season for Bologna, making 32 appearances in Serie A, helping the squad achieve a fifth-place finish in the league, also helping the squad reach the Quarter-finals of the Italy Cup scoring against Inter in their 2-1 win, however missed the next round vs Fiorentina through a hamstring injury, where Bologna was knocked out on penalties.
The 23-year-old has a bit of history with INEOS as well, making him a well known candidate for Sir Jim Ratcliffe, having come through OGC Nice and Lausanne-Sport who are also owned by the United co-owners.
