We got a teaser trailer on Tuesday for Mortal Kombat 1, but seeing as it’s Halloween, game Director Ed Boon couldn’t help but share some gameplay footage for the game’s next DLC character.
This isn’t a full showcase of specials or Fatalities, but does reveal a handful of brutal attacks (as well as some cheeky pre-fight dialogue with Johnny Cage). Continue on to see the sneak peek.
Ghostface will be MK1’s fourth guest character and 10th post-launch roster addition, and becomes available for early access (a perk for those who pre-ordered Season 2 DLC) on November 19.
The Scream antagonist shows off a few sweeping swipes as he pulls off a three hit combo with his go-to weapon of choice before meter burning to call in another Ghostface accomplice from the other side of the screen to keep the pain coming.
He enhances yet again to enter into an even more brutal stabbing spree that ends with a gut-wrenching chest carve, reminiscent of many of the kills from the Scream franchise.
Check out all the fun Halloween carnage in the quick clip below and let us know in the comments what you think of Ghostface thus far.

NetherRealm Studios has also shown us a handful of Ghostface’s alternate gear options, which see his mask change in a variety of ways. Some of these are nostalgic callbacks for those of us around when the original Scream films were in their heyday.
