Senator Gershom Bassey assured of making the youths self-reliance
Senator Gershom Bassey, Senator representing Cross River South and Vice chairman, Petroleum Upstream at the National Assembly along side with his wife, Dr(Mrs) Chioma Bassey met with his Constituents during the Easter break and shared the seasons joy with cash, enlightenment of opportunities that are abound and promises for better representation
Senator Bassey while interacting with his people said “I have always seen the votes of my Constituents as an investment in me and my mandate is to invest in my people mostly the women and Youth across the seven Local Government of my senatorial district. This investment is about women and youth empowerment initiative that will make them to be self reliant”.
The Lawmaker who has recently donated empowerment materials like Sewing machines, Generators, Grinding machines, Speed boats, buses, loans among others to his Constituents is expected to commission most of his outstanding constituency projects and handover them to the beneficiaries and the communities that will take ownership of the projects.
Among the projects to be commissioned are lock up shops , class room blocks, water facilities which includes water storage capacity tanks, solar panels, solar submersible pump, water management kiosk, improved sewage management, among others. This is in furtherance of the Senator’s commitment to improving the quality of lives among communities.
