Gen. Moses Obi (Rtd.) felicitates with the people of Boki on their 2020 New Yam Festival

The Chairman of Ochibe Boki, General Moses Obi (Rtd.) OON, has extended his gratitude and felicitation to the people of Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State on their occasion of the 2020 New Yam Festival.

Obi in his goodwill message on Monday, sued for peace among the people of Boki as they celebrate their annual New Yam festival which is being marked on the 18th of August every year.

The Chairman of Ochibe Boki also extended his goodwill will to Boki people living in diaspora as he wished for a prosperous new yam festival.

“As we celebrate yet another Annual Boki New Yam Festival, it is my greatest joy and thanksgiving to God Almighty who has given us His grace, that I, my family, and indeed, the entire people of Boki worldwide, extend our gratitude and felicitations to all our people, at home and in the diaspora, on this occasion of our New Yam Festival.

“New Yam Festival has been a period of celebrations, merry – making, thanksgiving, love, peace, reconciliation, hospitality, joy, unity, and mutual respect for one another and for our culture and authority, etc.

“In the light of these and more, I enjoin all of us to celebrate this year’s festival in peace and harmony and free of all negative vices.
