Gamescom sizzle reel all but confirms Terry Bogard's gameplay trailer is coming very soon for Street Fighter 6

M. Bison kicked off the Season 2 content train for Street Fighter 6 around a month and a half ago, and it looks like he’s going to have some outside company joining him pretty soon.

Host Geoff Keighley just dropped the official sizzle reel promo for Gamescom 2024 that’s sure to kick Terry Bogard and SF6 fans into a burning overdrive.

The trailer in question is specifically aimed at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event in just a few days where highlighted titles are quickly teased throughout the short video.

At around the 21-second mark of said sizzle reel, Terry himself pops up to put on his Fatal Fury hat, which is a shot pulled from his Evo teaser trailer last month.

This all but confirms what we’ve been expecting in that Street Fighter’s first ever outside guest character will be getting his official gameplay trailer reveal at Gamescom.

It’s a move that’s not all that surprising considering Capcom already revealed Terry will be playable in demo form on the Gamescom show floor in the following days as well as PAX West later in the month.

So we’re going to be seeing a lot more of Mr. Bogard here very soon no matter what.

The move to have another SF6 trailer at Keighley’s events also lines up considering they first showed Terry as well as M. Bison, Mai Shiranui and Elena at the Summer Games Fest 2024 back in June.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves also had a reveal trailer there as well with B. Jenet and Vox Reaper though we’re not seeing any teases of that here for Gamescom.

The only other fighter we noticed was Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, so there’s a good chance those will be the only real things of interest for fans of the genre.

They do also show, however, a bunch of other titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, Black Myth: Wukong, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Zenless Zone Zero and more planned for the show.

On top of Terry’s gameplay, Capcom will also likely reveal his release date as SF6’s second DLC character of Year 2, which we guess is going to fall at some point in September.

We only have a little longer to wait and see for sure what Terry is bringing to the table.

But either way, it’s going to be one heck of a party.

The Gamescom Opening Night Live stream is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 20, 11 a.m. PT / 2 a.m. ET.
