After Ryu received some notable buffs from the latest balance update, we noted how players like Kazunoko and Kakeru were experimenting with Ryu’s improvements. It didn’t take long before the two were able to reach Legend with Ryu.

Since then, Kazunoko and Kakeru have risen to the highest and second highest ranks in terms of Ryu users. When we last checked, Kakeru, who also happens to be the highest ranked overall player on Street Fighter 6’s leaderboard, was the second best Ryu in terms of Master Rate.

As of right now, Kakeru has 2,147 Master Rate with Ryu over Kazunoko’s 2,131 points. In other words, Kakeru recently took the top spot on the Ryu leaderboard.

In commemoration of this, The FGC Place recently uploaded match footage of Kakeru’s Ryu taking on other Legends in Street Fighter 6. Needless to say, this is definitely the player to watch for the purpose of picking up good habits for Ryu.

During the first video, Kakeru’s Ryu goes up against Yhcmochi’s Dhalsim. It’s worth noting that Yhcmochi is the second highest ranked Dhalsim in terms of Master Rate.

Following this, Kakeru takes on NL’s Luke. Gumout|NL ended up taking fourth place with his Luke at Capcom Cup X earlier this year.
