Like most other returning characters, Hwoarang’s appearance has changed somewhat going from Tekken 7 to Tekken 8. Of course, as a practitioner of Taekwondo, he’s regarded particularly for his kicking abilities as he always has been.
Recently, BuffGigas linked an amusing clip from VanStation’s TikTok. This clip essentially showed us what would happen if Hwoarang was the protagonist of Resident Evil 4 instead of Leon Kennedy.
As it typically is in the Resident Evil series, resource management is extremely important in Resident Evil 4. Due to this, kicking opponents when in close proximity is actually one of Leon’s better options for combatting enemies since it’s the type of action that doesn’t spend any resources.
Needless to say, Hwoarang is demonstrated to be a perfect fit for Resident Evil 4. The clip essentially shows a mod of Hwoarang, skinned over Leon, kicking opponents in the first town that the player comes across.
Of course, Hwoarang also demonstrates that he’s willing to throw opponents should his kicks fail him. The Taekwondo fundamentals that Hwoarang has picked up through his training ends up being incredibly useful in this situation.
