Evo 2024 is now behind us. Towards the end of the event, Tekken 8’s third Season 1 character was revealed, and it took us all by surprise.
As it turns out, Heihachi Mishima is being resurrected in Tekken 8. This is actually pretty similar to how M. Bison returned in Street Fighter 6 after it was believed that he had been killed by the end of Street Fighter 5’s main story mode.
Needless to say, we have to imagine that Kazuya Mishima, Heihachi’s son, is not going to be all too pleased with the upcoming family reunion. The latest scar present on Heihachi’s body actually came from what was believed to be a decisive blow from Kazuya himself.
Skonk on X (formerly known as Twitter) recently released an amusing clip that highlights Kazuya’s reaction to the Heihachi trailer. As predicted, this whole scenario puts Kazuya in a particularly bad mood.
Though Nina attempts to console Kazuya, he ends up telling her to leave the room while he vents. Following this, past events begin flashing through Kazuya’s mind.
What really sells this moment is how a certain musical theme from “The Boys” is playing in the background as this all happens. It’s very reminiscent of how we’ve seen Homelander mentally breaking down while reacting to certain events.
