Ed’s big release is still just over a week away for Street Fighter 6 players, but it looks like they’re going to keep giving fans more nuggets of info to keep the interest going leading up to it.
Capcom just dropped a battle preview for Ed in SF6 showing off what a full round of gameplay looks like against Ken.
Things start out with Ed negating and countering a Hadoken with his own Psycho Spark into Psycho Shot though what comes after may be a good sign for his potential strength as a fighter.
For the follow-up, the boxer performs his Drive Rush into what looks like his crouching medium punch canceled into a Psycho Upper, so while we can’t confirm the punch is truly hitting as a low, DR into a cancelable low attack has continued to be a strong strategy in SF6 overall.
The charged version of his Psycho Snatcher looks like it’ll keep him at advantage against a blocking character and can obviously lead to a big juggle combo on hit.
His biggest combo, however, off of his Psycho Knuckle appears that it hits as a Counter Hit, so you may not be able to do all of the fancier follow-ups afterwards without punishing the opponent trying to hit a button.
Unfortunately, they don’t include the user interface in the footage, but we know this takes out ken’s full life gauge at least if some mad lad wants to do the calculations.
If you want to see more of Ed in action, Capcom also previously released his full gameplay trailer as well as his character guide last week breaking down his moves and mechanics on display here.
They also shared what his character select animations and Versus screen faces are going to be too.
The Neo Shadaloo leader is still set to launch February 27 alongside a new stage and some quality of life updates to Street Fighter 6.

He won’t let this one shot slip.
