Governor Ben Ayade seems to have appointed 257 persons into his administration according to a document cited by our correspondent and signed 12 December 2018.
Alhaji Abdulkarim Adams who is incidentally the SA on Non-Indigenes at the Governor’s Office, said that the appointments was made yesterday, 11th January. He shared this information on social media. As at press time, NegroidHaven could not reach the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor to confirm this development.
These latest set of appointments increases the number of Cross Riverians the incumbent governor has engaged by reason of appointments —figures peg it at between 4, 000 to 6,000. Ministries were increased from 15 to 28, number of departments were increased from 20 to 80, we’ve mushroom agencies, units, boards, bureau, and commissions.
The Governor seems to have lost counts with the contrivance of fictitious names for ministries, departments and agencies, probably that is why these current 257 don’t have designated MDAs they are going to work. Or, maybe, the Governor is conscripting his armies of those who will campaign for his reelection.
