Northern Cross River Local Governments, Bekwarra, Ogoja, Obudu, Obanliku and Obudu are now prone to Fulani Herdsmen Clashes as Southern Cross River Local Governments warm up to evacuate Fulani Herdsmen as a result of the Odupani crisis.
The cry of the Cross Riverians has indeed reached the Cross River State House of Assembly over the invasion and killings by the Fulani Herdsmen.
Cross River House of Assembly in a plenary passed a resolution mandating the relevant State and Security Agencies to immediately relocate Fulani Herdsmen from Obio Usere community in Odupani LGA of CRS.
This is due to the fact that the herdsmen have constituted themselves into a direct danger to the life and safety of the indigenes of the state as an indigene of OBIO USERE was gruesomely murdered by FULANI herdsmen.

Reports from CrossRiverWatch has it that an unknown gunman shot death a Fulani Herdsmen in Bekwarra Local Government of the state. Other reports says, the killers are youths from the neighbouring Benue State.
People are now asking questions like, “where are the Fulani Herdsmen in Odukpani going to be moved to? Is the house of Assembly waiting for occurrence of such ugly situation in each of the LGAs or Communities of the State before a holistic law is passed to protect our people?”
Benue State, a state prone to the Herdsmen killings where a thousand has been butchered helplessly by these bloodsuckers is not far from Cross River State, mostly in the Northern part of the state. There is therefore, an urgent need to protect our innocent citizens.
