This weekend we’ll be seeing one of the first big offline majors of the year with the 2023 installment of Frosty Faustings and as always it’ll be taking place in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

With over 3,000 entrants, the event is going to be absolutely massive. Leading the charge is Guilty Gear Strive with over 1,000 entrants followed by Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 sitting at around 480 players. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has 325 signups and Tekken 7 sits at over 270 participants followed by Melty Blood Type Lumina at over 250 and BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R, The King of Fighters 15 and DNF Duel all sitting over 200 players as well.
The Mystery Tournament, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy Versus and Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition all crossed the 150 mark while Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late[cl-r], Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Them’s Fightin’ Herds and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 all sit at over 100 entrants.
There will also be tournament play for the games sitting at below 100 entrants, though all of them have over 50 participants — Samurai Shodown, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Skullgirls: 2nd Encore, Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers), Rushdown Revolt, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Mortal Kombat 11.
Streaming is being done by Tampa Never Sleeps, Funky P, Unrivaled Tournaments, Juicy Game Night, Low Kick eSports, IFC Yipes and Vampire Arcadia.
