A frontline image maker and staunch member of the opposition party in Cross River State, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Eno Beké Ikwen has saluted the Governor of the State, HE Sir Ben Ayade for appointing young people who now populate position of responsibilities in his administration.
In a Statement to facilitate the appointment of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategic Communication, Comr Andrea Ekeng Inyang who is under 30, he said, it is a plus to the State.
As an advocate for youth inclusion in governance and leadership, I say a big thank you and Kudos to Governor Ayade for appointing young men and women into his administration.
The more youths a government give leadership responsibilities, the more the youths will begin to feel responsible at early age and prepare themselves early for leadership responsibilities.
Also glad to have read about the Oyo State governor who appointed a 27 year old.
We need to see more 25 – 30 yr olds being given opportunities to serve.
We may not see the best result from them immediately, some will even end up abusing their office, still we must not lose hope in the ability, resilience, strength, energy and effectiveness young people always bring to the table.
