Capcom is gearing up for a large update to Street Fighter 6 in just under a couple of weeks now. On September 24, the mainline Street Fighter series will see its first ever guest character when Fatal Fury / King of Fighters’ own Terry Bogard joins the playable roster as DLC for Season 2.
The big Terry update won’t just be adding the new character and his respective stage, but we’ll also be seeing some fresh, free content as well. Capcom has just announced that more New Challenger Screen illustrations are coming to the game, and this batch will be illustrated by the legendary Udon Comics crew.
“Read your opponent with these New Challenger Screen illustrations from Udon Comics coming with the Terry Update on September 24!” the tweet from the official Street Fighter Twitter account reads. “Along with these illustrations are comic-book style stickers and effects for all your Photo Mode needs – all for free!”
As the tweet states, this new set of New Challenger Screen art pieces will be available for everyone free of charge. How many players will be receiving wasn’t divulged, but the image shared alongside the tweet shows 10 different ones.
Featured in these new illustrations we have Juri, Manon, Chun-Li, A.K.I., Ken, Cammy, Lily, Luke, Marisa, and Kimberly. Based on the signatures, it is confirmed that popular Udon artists such as The Chamba and Edwin Huang are contributing their talents to these illustrations.
In addition to these New Challenger pieces, comic book-style stickers and effects are also being given to players for free. These bits of content will be usable within Street Fighter 6’s Photo Mode.
