Fox with the zoomies hilariously mirrors Fox McCloud's movement in Super Smash Bros. Melee

Fox McCloud is often seen as the overall best character in Super Smash Bros. Melee due to his speedy attributes and slippery playstyle. To truly succeed with Fox at a high level, it’s essential to keep opponents guessing with dash dancing and wave dashing in the neutral.

It turns out that Fox McCloud’s playstyle might not be all that different to that of a real fox’s behavior. A recent clip was posted on Twitter that highlights similarities between a fox with the “zoomies” and Fox McCloud in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In the clip, the white fox is seen dashing back and forth. This is just like how Fox is played in Smash Melee.

As the player makes it so that Fox jumps on a platform before jumping back down, the actual fox mirrors this movement by using a bed as a platform. It’s clear that this fox is wanting to play.

When fox uses his side special in the game, we can see how the fox just bolts forward at the very end of the clip. Of course, it’s not entirely clear if these two scenes are actually happening at the same time, or if the scene featuring Super Smash Bros. Melee gameplay was recorded after the fact.

Regardless, it’s a pretty funny clip overall. Check it out below:
