The management of Adorable Foundation International (AFI), a Nigeria based advocacy group, has announced the inauguration of it anti-drug abuse, cultism campaign club named ‘A Societal Awareness Campaign Against Drug Abuse (ASACADA)’ across secondary schools in Anambra State.
The AFI founder, Princess Ada Okeke-Amam announced this at a press conference in Awka, on Friday, to unveiled the Foundation’s Queen ASACADA 2026 Beauty Pageant competition slated to hold at Merit House, Maitama in Abuja, second quarter of the year.
She said the club will work assiduously in collaboration with the school teachers, Nigeria Police and the State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), aimed at educating the students (male and female), on the danger of involving in cultism and drug abuse practices.
She noted that the foundation has also stationed it volunteer workers in other part of Nigeria’s secondary schools to ensure a total eradication of the menace.
“The moved according to her, is aimed at instilling in the minds of the students a better healthy lifestyle designed to give everyone a platform to succeed, stressing that being conscious of one’s body is the first step to achieving the right health.
“At the moment, 40 percent of Nigeria youth are drug abusers, meaning that the syndrome is at the high side in the country.
“Brigadier Genera Mohammad Buba Marwa led-NDLEA has done a lot to curb this evil that has come to ruined the future of our young ones in Nigeria.
“The foundation is calling for collaboration with relevant stakeholders, “religion bodies, civil society organizations and God-fearing individuals to help in the fight against the menace for a better Nigeria.
“Life is a beautiful journey that need not to be ruined with drugs, so we want our Nigeria youth irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnic affiliations to say no to drug abuse and cultism, they should choose hugs and not drugs.
On the Queen ASACADA 2026 Beauty Pageant competition, Princess Okeke-Amam informed the public that the form for the event is currently available online and also at the Foundation’s Abuja, Lagos and Awka offices respectively with a purchasing sum of ten thousand naira (10,000) only, adding that the qualify female applicants rage from 18-30 years and must be a product from a higher institution in Nigeria.
While also appealing to the media for a wider publicity of the event, she noted that the foundation established 10-years ago, aimed at empowering youth, building a drug and cult-free society.
