Things aren’t going well for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United.
The attacker has recently been listed for sale by the club in an attempt to generate more transfer funds.
Rashford was struggling to find his form under Erik ten Hag, and despite the minor improvements under Ruben Amorim, United are wanting more from a star front man.
With the fear of few takers this winter transfer window due to his salary of £325,000 per week and the £40 million price tag, United are also considering loaning the star out to support him to kickstart his career once more.
The club have also reportedly been concerned with his off-field distractions affecting his performances claiming that the England international doesn’t have the same focus on football that he once had.
This sentiment has now been repeated by once of Rashford’s former teammates, Phil Jones, who spent seven years at Carrington with the 27-year-old.

Phil Jones opens up about Marcus Rashford
Speaking to the BBC Radio 5 Live, as reported by UtdDistrict, Jones commented: “I feel sorry for Marcus Rashford. I know there’s that little kid in him who loves playing football and loves the club.”
He continued: “It’s clear that he’s not enjoying football. He has to detach himself from the outside noise, and he has to get back to enjoying playing football again.”
Unfortunately for Rashford, the outside noise has been growing louder and louder over the recent months with criticisms of his trip to the USA to see an NBA game during an October international break.
Since then the news of United wanting to sell him has dominated Manchester United news, whilst his absence from any squad for the last three games since the Manchester Derby omission has only added fuel to the fire.
It’s unknown yet whether Rashford will make an appearance in United’s Boxing Day clash with Wolves, however his recent absences aren’t giving much hope that he’ll be taking to the pitch.
