Young, promising Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim has been subject to admiration for all big clubs in the search for a manager.

At only 39 years old, he has already guided Lisbon to their 20th Primera Liga title, second under his reign completing an impressive domestic double this campaign.

The young manager’s style of play and results have earned him admiration from top teams including Manchester United and Liverpool as centredevils reported a while ago.

According to former Portugal midfielder Diamantino Miranda, there is some veracity to these reports and Amorim would have no problem joining Manchester United.

“If it turns out, if it’s true, that Manchester United are interested in Ruben Amorim, there’s no shortage of money. And I think Amorim has all the conditions, not least because of what he’s already done, not least because he’s going to leave Sporting on a high note, and that’s often how you have to leave clubs,” Miranda told football365.

Amorim has a £13m release clause in his contract that allows him to move to other clubs but he did insist he was going to stay at Lisbon after securing the league last weekend.

“I’m staying at Sporting. I’m under contract and it’s a special moment for me, for the club. Now we will try to win the third title together. Let’s try to make it happen, ” Amorim said.
