Sometime in the next few months, Street Fighter 6 will finally reach its second season status with Capcom putting out their first attempt to fully rebalance the game in whichever ways they see fit.
Former Capcom Cup champion for Street Fighter 5, XSET|iDom recently put together something of a wishlist for SF6 Season 2 going over his top five most wanted changes.
You may remember iDom did something similar at the start of this year, but that was adjustments he specifically wanted for Manon while this is focusing more on the general game mechanics.
The first change on his wishlist is the Street Fighter pro wants to see is actually the removal of Perfect Parry as an anti-air option because he feels it shouldn’t be in the game due to its easy input and how that changes the approach you have to do on offense.
iDom has another wish regarding how Parry works, but moving beyond that, he also wants something to be done about projectile into to cover approaches, like we often see with Juri.
He explains how he feels like that removes interaction from the game and makes the best thing a character could be doing in neutral pretty one-note.
How to actually fix that is another question though iDom thinks maybe there should be more recovery on fireballs before Drive Rush can be used.
As for his remaining topics, iDom goes into reducing damage generally as well as punishing Drive Rush.
We’ll let iDom go over his reasoning in full though, so make sure to check out his entire video below to get his entire breakdown for what he hopes to see out of SF6 in the coming months.
