Securing a first round knockout victory in his sixth contest will have been reward enough for Viddal Riley, but now he can add a £10,000 bonus to his fight purse thanks to friend, KSI.

It was a terrific performance from Riley, who is highly touted in the cruiserweight division, as he landed a crushing left hook less than a minute into round one to leave his opponent sprawled on the canvas.

Riley had previously spent two years out of the ring due to injuries and focusing on his social media career, but he signed with BOXXER earlier this year and he has since had two fights in four months to bring his record to 6-0, with 3 KO’s.

Prior to his debut with BOXXER, KSI had promised Riley a £10,000 bonus if he got a knockout, but he was taken the distance by Willbeforce Shihepo.

KSI was trained by Riley for his fights against Joe Weller and Logan Paul and the pair have remained friends ever since.

This meant that KSI was ringside for Riley’s most recent KO and he was clearly impressed by the performance, as footage emerged of the YouTuber jumping for joy as the knockout punch landed.

After the fight, despite no longer being obliged by the rules of their previous agreement, Riley revealed that KSI had sent him the £10,000 anyway.

Riley posted evidence on Twitter with the caption, “In Brotherhood You Stick To Your Word. Mad Love Always KSI.”

Just a day later, KSI was performing at the Capital Summertime Ball when he got thousands of people in the crowd to begin chanting ‘f*** Jake Paul’.

Paul and KSI have had a fierce rivalry over the years, being the most prominent social media stars to turn to boxing and they are expected to meet in the ring in the future.

KSI’s next fight is scheduled for August 27 having not fought since November 2019 when he beat Logan Paul, although his upcoming opponent is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile Paul will be returning to the ring on August 6 at Madison Square Garden headlining alongside Amanda Serrano.

It is rumoured that Tommy Fury, the younger brother of Tyson Fury, will be in the opposite corner.
