South America has a reputation of birthing certified world beaters with the insane talent they possess.
Real Madrid have been benefited most from this, especially with Brazilians. They can boast of going into Brazil and coming away with names like Vini Jr, Rodrygo Goes and Endrick.
Manchester United scouting department have this season been putting emphasis on recruitment of South American prospects.
One of these young South American prospects being scouted is 17-year-old Argentine centre back Juan Giménez, who plays for Rosario Central U 20 team. He is a very tall centre back who prefers playing at right centre back as he is right footed.
Another one of these young South Americans being scouted by United is Boca Juniors centre back Aaron Anselmino. The Argentine was born in April 2005 and has been at Boca since he was 12.
Anselmino mainly operates as a defender and has been described as a “tower that clears everything head-on and almost always prevails in one-on-one situations
Next in line is 16-year-old River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono. Born in August 200, he started playing football at the age of 3 in River de Azul, where his father was the coach. He has been at River Plate since 2019.
A left-footed midfielder, Mastantuono was described by River Plate youth coach Martín Pellegrino as a being capable of playing as a play-making midfielder or a forward, noting his ball-striking ability.
17-year-old Ian Subiabre of River Plate has also been identified by United’s scouting team.
Born in January 2007, the winger trialled for River Plate in 2021, and they offered him a contract beginning January of the next year.
Subiabre describes himself as a “powerful striker and scorer”, though he is often utilized as a winger, and names fellow Argentine Julián Álvarez as an inspiration on his style of play
16-year-old Tomás Parmo Independiente midfielder is the last player on this list.
Born in January 2008, the right-footed midfielder can be deployed in central midfield, and he can also operate as an attacking midfielder.
