Five persons have been confirmed dead as a three storey building collapses in Obingwu Asa in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.

The 3 storey uncompleted building which has gotten to roofing level sank and collapsed on Friday night.

Seven people were said to be working on the site when the building collapsed.

Two workers were able to escape when they heard the sound of the building.

Evacuation is still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
