Super Eagles Midfielder Fiyaso Dele-Bashiru has reportedly joined Italian club, Lazio on an initial season-long loan deal.
Dele-Bashiru signed the deal with an option of a four-year contract at the expiration of the loan.
He had his best season in club football at the end of the 2023/2024 football season with Hatayspor, boasting 13 goals involvement, earning him a call-up to the Super Eagles squad.
Dele-Bashiru was given his first start at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium when Nigeria hosted the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match.
The 23-year-old scored on his official debut to gift Nigeria a 1-1 draw against South Africa in Uyo and also played in the 2-1 loss in Côte d’Ivoire against Benin Republic.

The former Manchester City academy graduate whose brother Tom Dele-Bashiru plays for Watford in the English championship becomes the fourth signing for Lazio following several departures, especially in Midfield.
The White and Sky Blues’ midfield was decimated with the exit of Luis Alberto who left for Qatar-based side Al Duhail and Daichi Kamada who joined Crystal Palace as a free agent.
Dele-Bashiru will follow in the footsteps of former Nigeria Super Eagles star Ogenyi Onazi who represented Lazio during his playing days in the Italian Serie A.
Dele-Bashiru will be making his biggest appearance in club football when he makes his debut in the Serie A, one of the best five leagues in the world.
