Two nongovernmental organizations, Firm Girl Initiative and UKEH Cares Foundation have collectively organized a weeklong capacity building training for girls in Cross River State on AI Innovation.
Ukeh Omang, founder of UKEH Cares foundation and Ochiche Rachael, founder of Firm Girl Initiative, said the programme is in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child observe every October 11 to advocate more opportunity for girls and increasing awareness on gender inequality faced by girls worldwide.
The training programme which has the theme: “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead. Girls on the front line of Crisis,” began on Saturday, October 11.

“Join the Firm Girl Initiative and UKEH Cares Foundation for an empowering event that is absolutely essential for every girl and young woman,” the organizers declared, calling for participation in the training taking place on Whatsapp.
“The future belongs to the confident and skilled. Don’t miss the chance to key into this crucial conversation and learn how to master the tools,” they said, listing major areas of the training to include, “Empowering Girls Through AI Innovation. Building Confidence, Skills, and Digital Power Through AI.”
“The world needs your story, your strength, and your leadership. If you want to be the change, you need the skills to lead,” the duo declared.
