Key qualifications for the Financial Accountant:
Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Finance (Essential)
CIMA qualification or equivalent preferred
2 – 5 years of experience in financial services, particularly insurance or a related industry
Strong grasp of general accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and payment processes
Key duties for the Financial Accountant include but are not limited to:
Prepare and draft financial statements in compliance with company and regulatory standards
Oversee payment processing and ensure accurate bank reconciliations
Maintain general ledgers and ensure consistent accuracy across accounts
Support audits and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on financial reporting
