Story updated:This story has been updated with Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) results from day one of this tournament. Final Kombat 2024 kicks off today featuring SonicFox, Tekken Master, HoneyBee, Hayatei, EMG|Dope, DF|Grr, Burrito Voorhees, Jakyo, DG|Poseidon and more.
$200,000 USD is on the line, and the event is being held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to crown the first Mortal Kombat 1 champion.
The Last Chance Qualifier, held on Friday, will be the standard double elimination tournament, with the overall winner earning the final spot into Final Kombat 2024.
The Group Stage on Saturday wll be four groups with five players each in them, in a Round Robin style. The two highest placing players in each group will advance to Final Kombat.
The final day, Sunday, will be another double elimination bracket, featuring 8 players. Streaming is being handled by NetherRealm Studios on Twitch and other platforms as well.
