Somehow fighting game modders seem to be getting faster and better at their jobs considering we keep seeing them create cool stuff right after titles release now.

MultiVersus’ early access beta hasn’t even been available for a week, yet WistfulHopes has apparently already modded Final Fantasy 7’s Cloud Strife into the new game.

As can be seen in the footage she’s shared thus far, Ryn has managed to begin porting over Cloud’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate into the Warner Bros. platform fighter.

His movement does appear to be somewhat wonky right now, but Ryn says that’s because the JRPG hero is just using his default movement values right now and hasn’t gotten to adjust them yet.

She also points out that this isn’t a simple model swap, but rather will be his own unique character likely using his Smash moveset.

Cloud seems to have only a few of his attacks programmed in right now although knowing WistfulHopes at this point, she’ll probably get him updated with his full moves in short order.

This isn’t even the first time we’ve seen MultiVersus mods prior to the official launch either, as people already managed to mod in characters like Dragon Ball’s Goku, My Hero Academia’s All Might as well as One Piece’s Luffy before the game had left its alpha stage.

Ryn’s Cloud mod for MultiVersus obviously isn’t ready for public consumption just yet, but you can follow her on Twitter for more information as to when it will be available to try for yourself.
