Job Summary
- The Pharmaceutical Field Support Manager is responsible for providing strategic support to the field team, ensuring they have the resources, training, and operational tools needed to maximize their performance in the field.
- This role involves coordination between various internal departments, including sales, marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, and training, to ensure that the field teams are equipped to deliver consistent, compliant, and high-quality support to healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Field Team Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the field sales and medical teams, addressing operational and logistical needs.
- Ensure timely availability of marketing materials, training programs, and other resources needed by the field team.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align on field goals and priorities.
Training and Development:
- Organize and coordinate training sessions for field staff, including product knowledge, compliance, and sales techniques.
- Conduct onboarding programs for new hires within the field teams.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to ensure continuous professional development and regulatory compliance.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, regulatory, and medical affairs to ensure all field materials are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and aligned with company strategies.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives or product launches, providing operational support and ensuring successful execution in the field.
- Coordinate feedback from the field teams to inform future strategies, product development, and marketing efforts.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure that field teams adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regular reports and metrics related to field activities and outcomes.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the field teams and report on progress to senior management.
Field Resource Management:
- Manage the distribution of promotional and educational materials to the field teams.
- Monitor inventory of field support resources and collaborate with logistics to maintain stock levels.
- Ensure all field equipment (such as tablets, sample kits, etc.) is properly maintained and updated.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Support the field team in building and maintaining relationships with key healthcare providers, stakeholders, and customers.
- Facilitate the development of customer-specific strategies and programs that enhance product adoption and loyalty.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PharmD) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry roles, with at least 2 years in field operations, sales support, or training.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory compliance, and field operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce, etc.).
