The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has announced the suspension of all ongoing development activities in its estates located in Lugbe, Karu, and Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A statement issued by the agency, a copy sent to THE WHISTLER in Abuja on Sunday, stated that the directive affects all forms of construction work within these estates.
FHA called on all developers currently undertaking construction in these estates to report to the FHA Head Office, in Abuja starting from Monday.
They are directed to present
Letters of Allocation; Approved Building Plans; Payment Receipts; and Documents proving ownership, including evidence of ownership
transfer such as Consent Letters.
FHA, however, gave a three-month amnesty window for owners of commercial developments without proper approvals to regularise their property documentation and obtain the necessary approvals within this timeframe.
The agency said failure to comply with these directives will result in strict sanctions.
