The Federal Government (FG) has on the 7th of September, 2016 declared Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of September, 2016 public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Kabir Celebrations in Nigeria.
According to a statement signed by Muhammadu Maccido on behalf of the Minister Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) as acting Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Interior which stated that the Federal Government is working to revitalise the agriculture sector and the “Youth Empowerment Scheme” in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
He further stated that other areas of priority to government including the “The “Change Begins with Me”, a value re-orientation programme, and other social intervention programmes as well as massive capital releases.
He wished all Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
