Female student, one other killed as bandits attack LG headquarters in Zamfara
Bandits have reportedly killed two persons during an attack on Kaura-Namoda town, the headquarters of Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was gathered that the bandits invaded the town at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2023, shooting sporadically.
The attack was said to have forced residents to scamper for safety.
A resident of Kaura-Namoda, Ismaila Kaura, who confirmed the incident to Channels TV said that two persons, including a female student identified as Ni’ima who was on her way to Islammiyya school, were killed during the attack.
The other resident killed during the attack has been identified as Garzali Abubakar.
Kaura added that the troops of the Nigerian Army deployed to the town engage the bandits in a gun duel and forced them to flee the town.
