I always love taking a look back at classic fighting games to see what kind of oddities they hold. No matter who is at the helm of development, fighting games (and games in general) always have unintentional behavior that, when properly triggered, can result in some wacky and unbelievable stuff.
Today we have a strange Marvel vs. Capcom 2 glitch featuring Felicia that you might not have known existed. JMCrofts recently shared footage of this weird phenomenon that sees Felicia and her kitty helpers entrap their foe in place on screen forever.
In order to make this happen, the Felicia player must basically spam her “Please Help Me” super while her opponent is stationary. With Please Help Me, Felicia brings in her kitty friends to grab their foe and put a beating on them, and mashing the kick buttons helps add damage and hits for the player.
The clip shows Felicia using Please Help Me a total of four times, quickly performing the maneuver one after another in succession. By the time the third super makes contact, the training dummy Jill Valentine is already ensnared in the trap.
Once the glitch is activated, Jill and the four scantily clad kitty helpers remain stuck motionless in limbo on screen. As JMCrofts demonstrates, Felicia has the ability to walk around, move, and attack, but she is no longer able to make contact with the opponent meaning that Jill is stuck in that position forever.
Fortunately (but also unfortunately), this glitch isn’t likely to appear in any actual match setting. Unless the opponent remains still and allows it to happen, you probably won’t be triggering this unintentional behavior in a real fight, but it’s still funny and interesting to see that this even exists.
Legend has it that somewhere out there… Jill and the kitty helpers are still stuck in place…
In Marvel vs Capcom 2, Felicia can trap the opponent for eternity by spamming one of her supers https://t.co/eOYJKrriqa pic.twitter.com/X3R9tpiTmh
