FEBRUARY 2020 PRESS BRIEFING

In furtherance of the commitment of the present Administration to implement the new Information order in the State, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Comrade Asu Okang has approved the holding of the second edition of the Monthly Ministerial Press Briefing on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the newly renovated Newsroom of the Ministry’s Headquarters Complex, Opposite Cultural Centre Complex, Calabar by 10:00am.
The February Edition of the Press Briefing according to Comrade Okang, is expected to feature the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong, Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Prof. John Inyang; and Honourable Commissioner for Sustainable Development Goals, Mr. Oliver Orok.

The Commissioner has therefore invited the State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Chairman and members of the Correspondents Chapel, Social Media Influencers, the Chairman Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Leadership of Ethnic Groups, Women Leaders and Youth Groups to attend the Press Briefing, which Comrade Okang noted is intended to provide an open platform for the Media and General Public to get first hand Information on Governor Ben Ayade’s achievements in these sectors while Journalists would have opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications.
