The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) raided the Utako Ultramodern market on Tuesday, confirming the illegal rebagging of rice.
The Director of Surveillance and Investigations at the commission, Mrs Boladale Adeyinka, said the development was a response to intelligence made available to the commission
Speaking during the raid, Adeyinka said Nigerian rice, also known as local rice, was rebagged into foreign bags despite the discontinuity of foreign products in the market.
