Terry already looks amazing in Street Fighter 6 and he’s not even releasing for another full month. With his gameplay trailer now out in the wild and phone footage from Gamescom making it onto X, however, fans are already feeling like he’s going to be more than okay as the the game’s next DLC character.
Given Terry’s status as a guest from Fatal Fury, we’ve all been wondering how he might function in the Drive System-defined atmosphere of Street Fighter 6. Some fans have playfully put together some quick clips of Terry in previous games abusing some of SF6’s more frustrating tactics.
To be clear, these don’t necessarily depict the most effective use of these maneuvers in their respective games. This is all more done in the spirit of poking some fun at the fact that Drive Rush and corner throw loops are some of the most powerful tools in Street Fighter 6.
First up is @vryu123 as he controls Terry in King of Fighters 15. Terry stutters his way up to his cornered foe as he pays homage to the crouching medium kick dance that can be so prevalent in SF6 matches.
Once he finally connects with a crouching medium kick he suddenly bursts forward with a cancel that’s meant to echo Drive Rush, pressures with a jab, and then lands a throw in the corner. This leads to the deadly throw mix up situations the presence of throw loops allows.
Our second example comes from King of Fighters 13 as ChefRaptor activates Hyperdrive Mode to cancel his roundhouse for extended pressure. Those of us who have been playing SF6 will find both of these clips strikingly familiar:

In all honestly Terry is looking absolutely stellar right now and has a ton of momentum thanks to the obvious extra miles developers have been going to ensure every last detail adds to his experience.
