We’ve highlighted some of WeaponTheory’s work in the past. He’s recreated Shang Tsung’s Fatality involving Kintaro from Mortal Kombat 11 and put it Mortal Kombat 3, a sprite-based fighting game. Of course, he’s also created brand new Fatalities for characters like Sonya, Jax, and Kano.
Once again, WeaponTheory has a new Fatality to show off. This time, it’s a brutal finisher for Raiden against Reptile in Mortal Kombat 2.
As seen in the animation, it would appear that this is the type of Fatality that Raiden would have to be especially close for. Raiden begins the deadly sequence by transforming into pure energy. Following this, he enters Reptile’s body through his mouth.
Reptile will forcibly assume a T-pose right up until his limbs explode. Despite no longer having legs, Reptile will levitate above the ground until a lightning bolt strikes down at his position.
Raiden will then teleport to Reptile’s location, causing Reptile to be split in half. From here, the two halves of Reptile’s remaining body will be fried by continuous electric shocks as they’re held in Raiden’s hands.
Quite an interesting Fatality. Even Ed Boon, the cocreator of the Mortal Kombat series, was impressed with this one. Check it out below:
