Fan made 3D artwork depicting Reina and Kunimitsu the 2nd tells an interesting story of their friendship

Upon seeing Reina’s trailer for Tekken 8, AD-8 Renders noticed a set piece from Vermilion Gates, the home stage of Kunimitsu 2 from Tekken 7. Due to this, AD-8 Renders apparently came up with the head canon that Reina and Kunimitsu 2 live close to one another and are friends.

This theory actually doesn’t seem all that farfetched considering that there are noticeable similarities between the two characters. As such, AD-8 Renders has created some interesting artwork that depicts the story of the two’s friendship.

Though the two supposedly live within eyesight of one another, they communicate with each other through their cell phones. In the artwork, Reina seems to be inviting Kunimitsu over.

Following this, the two can then be seen playing against one another in some sort of fighting game. It’s clear that they are playing a fighting game as they’re both seen using arcade sticks. This entire scene could be interpreted as a homage to the UDON artwork depicting Chun-Li and Morrigan having a fierce fighting game competition against one another.

Of course, it should be noted that AD-8 Renders credits CovahK for the Reina model, Lambo for the map, Seven3D for the PC model, and Xueral for the phones and air pods models.
