A claim has been spreading on social media, especially on many Whatsapp groups that 3MTT is offering free laptops to Nigerians.
The claim states that this initiative is aimed at individuals who lack the resources to purchase a laptop but require one for their studies, work, or skill development and 25 recipients will be chosen from among the laptop winners to receive an MTN ROUTER for enhanced connectivity.

The message provides a link where applicants can get access to the laptop. And the link provided, requires the user to complete a 7-stage procedure in order to be a beneficiary. The First Stage is for one to provide an email. The Second Stage is for one’s personal information. The Third Stage is one’s interest in 3MTT Technical areas. The Fourth Stage is one’s financial need and laptop use. The Fifth Stage is for Additional information. The Sixth Stage is Delivery Information. The Seventh Stage is Confirmation.
