Ruben Amorim has had his first day as Manchester United’s head coach having arrived at Carrington earlier today.
Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox and Dan Ashworth welcomed Amorim on his arrival to the United training ground this afternoon.
Whilst the Portuguese manager met with several top-level officials, coaching staff members and players, he’s yet to step foot on the grass. Unfortunately, Amorim has to wait for his visa to come through to begin officially coaching.
However, this hasn’t stopped him from working on his team line-ups and his transfer plan for the coming months.
Already speculations have been swirling around who United will be signing for Amorim’s squad.

However, the king of the transfer window, Fabrizio Romano, has now weighed in on the debate.
Fabrizio Romano gives his verdict on Amorim’s transfer plan
Fabrizio Romano is regarded well in the world of football news, especially transfers.
His famous “here we go” is often the recognised green light that a move is happening.
Now, the Italian journalist has commented on what he knows about Ruben Amorim’s intentions in the transfer window.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano commented: “From what I’m hearing, the first indication from Ruben Amorim to Man Utd directors is, ‘we need to bring players with intensity’.”
He continued: “These were the crucial words he mentioned in the opening talks and meetings he had with United.”
Romano went on to highlight the midfield as a key area where Amorim wants to see the intensity. As such, he doesn’t believe that Christian Eriksen will play a role with United following this season.
Romano also reiterated Amorim’s parting words as Sporting Lisbon’s manager, that United would not be raiding the Portuguese club in January.
