With the transfer market getting into full swing now, players are being approached left, right and centre, trying to be enticed to join other squads.

Whilst the interested clubs attempt to sway the players, their current clubs either fight to retain them with contract negotiations, or sit back thinking of the sale they’ll be able to make.

This is one of the main reasons for teams trying to get their contract renewals signed and done before the transfer window even begins, to make a point of who’s off limits throughout the transfer window.

Well United are now on the verge of announcing their newest star to commit his future to the club.

Sport journalist Fabrizio Romano has turned to X to announce that United’s young winger Bendito Mantato is on the edge of signing a new scholarship and pre-pro contract with the Premier League club.

The 16-year-old has played two seasons now for the United Under-18s squad, initially starting as a left-back before being moved onto the wings where he’s managed to get six goals and two assists in nine games, helping United to win the Under-18s Premier League title.

Although not finalised, the deal is nearly completed, with the final details being ironed out before the club can official confirm that Mantato is remaining within the United Academy.
