Manchester United are preparing to strengthen their forward line in January.
The club have struggled to find the back of the net this season, ranking amongst the bottom five in the Premier League.
Rasmus Hojlund who joined the club ahead of the 2023/24 season has so far failed to live up to the hype.
This lack of firepower contributed to Erik ten Hag’s departure in the summer.
Ruben Amorim is expected to push for new attacking options in the winter window.
A familiar long-term target is now almost certain to be available.
Paris Saint-Germain are planning to offload one of their strikers next month.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the player is “almost guaranteed” to leave.

The forward in question is Randal Kolo Muani, who joined PSG last summer in a £76.4 million deal.
United were heavily linked with the Frenchman before opting to sign Rasmus Hojlund.
Kolo Muani’s exit in January is considered sure and almost guaranteed, as Luis Enrique keeps showing he doesn’t count on the French striker anymore.
PSG are open to discuss Randal’s exit on their conditions, same as Milan Skriniar.

Despite interest from Old Trafford, PSG swooped to secure him from Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, the 26-year-old has struggled in Paris, scoring just 11 goals in 54 appearances.
Luis Enrique has not been convinced and often leaves him out of the starting lineup.
Romano claims Enrique “doesn’t count on the French striker anymore.”
PSG will look to offload him in January to back their manager’s vision.
United are keeping close tabs as they consider attacking reinforcements.
The expected departure of Marcus Rashford in January could open the door for a new arrival.
If Rashford departs, Kolo Muani could be brought in on a six-month deal.
United may then reassess their attacking options next summer.
The arrival of Kolo Muani would certainly provide another potent threat.
The strengths of Kolo Muani can be likened to Joshua Zirkzee.
Both tend to thrive in transitions and neither really have the clinical finish in front of goal.
It will be interesting to see whether Kolo Muani fits into the wage bill structure that United are intending to cut.
Certainly, a possible move to keep an eye on.
